My Daily Bread - 1 Corinthians 9:19-23
“For though I am free from all men, I have made myself a servant to all, that I might win the more; and to the Jews I became as a Jew, that I might win Jews; to those who areunder the law, as under the law, that I might win those who are under the law; to those who are without law, as without law (not being without law toward God, but under law toward Christ), that I might win those who are without law; to the weak I became as weak, that I might win the weak. I have become all things to all men, that I might by all means save some. Now this I do for the gospel’s sake, that I may be partaker of it with you.” 1 Cor 9:19-23
So apparently I’m a baseball fan. I can’t stand baseball. I find it incredibly slow and boring. My roommate loves baseball. If I didn’t know better, I would think he watches the Braves every single night. Anywho, I’m just minding my own business, making some waffles, and God up and drops a bomb on me out of nowhere: “you need to be a baseball fan.” And I’m kind of like, “No.” So of course, He throws this passage of scripture at me, I look it up and… yeah, I’m a new baseball fan. Yipee!
I guess if God can die on the cross to save me, then I can do something as simple as learning to like something a future child of His enjoys. Just bring him to You, Jesus. Draw him to You.
